Located in the heart of our nation's capital on the corner of 19th & G Streets, Reiter's Books is a treasure for DC's great minds and big thinkers.
Specialties
Independent, woman owned bookstore that specializes in science, economics, computers, math, politics, law and medicine. We also carry other sidelines like stethoscopes and pocket medical equipment and lab coats. We have a unique selection of graphic posters and prints as well as thinking games and puzzles for kids and adults. We have a special sale cart with many books under $5 We have a monthly book club meetup with DC Words and Wine Since 2021 we started providing Passport and ID photo services. (Very helpful since we're located next to the Washington Passport Agency) Join our Warhammer 40K skirmishes on Saturday afternoons. Members of our meetup group get discounts on supplies and books.

Dropped our bags off at this bookshop via their luggage storage service on this quiet MLK Day. We were met with a small, well-edited selection of mostly secondhand books and friendly staff.

Reiter's Books is a DC institution. It's in downtown DC in the bottom floor of a sterile DC office building. It's a small bookstore with a large government, politics, and foreign affairs section....
