This station might be, one of the systems most clean. Best guess is being close to Nats Park and expensive housing, could be a reason for this. They have the newer more reliable gate readers....

The metro was an amazing way to get around DC. Nice and clean cars an terminals. Price was fair and the staff excellent and engaged. Lots of kind folks working with the tourists.
