Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency, also known as MIGA, provides political risk insurance, technical assistance and dispute mediation services. It promotes direct foreign investment into developing countries to support economic growth in emerging countries which benefits the investor as well as provides jobs and improves the quality of life for people in the country. The agency also specializes in facilitating investments in low-income countries, including Africa. In addition, Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency offers investor information investment guarantee services. It has partnerships with the International Development Association, Austrian Development Agency, Development Gateway Foundation, Asian Development Bank and European Investment Bank. The agency s member countries include the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Japan, France and Switzerland. It is a member of the World Bank Group.
