National Wildlife Federation works on issues at the global, national and regional level. Its goal is to educate, mobilize, and advocate preserving and strengthening the protections for wildlife and wild places. NWF s programs include land stewardship, water resources and wildlife conservation. The federation has natural resource centers throughout the United States in regions including: Alaska, the Great Lakes, Gulf Coast and Rocky Mountains. It also operates a Washington, D.C. office, located a few blocks from the White House. Staffed by professionals experienced in policy issues, grassroots outreach, law, government affairs, and media, the field office advances NWF's national and international agenda. The federation represents the power and commitment of more than four million members and supporters joined by affiliated wildlife organizations in 47 states and territories. National Wildlife Federation has been working to protect America's wildlife since 1936.
