Couples counseling, sex therapy, and individual relationship therapy in Dupont Circle. Specializing in helping you create healthy relationships and resolve problems, including communication, sexual intimacy, LGBTQ issues, affairs, anxiety, and trauma. Premarital counseling is also provided. Lisa's training includes an MS in Counseling from Johns Hopkins University, an MS and PhD training in Sociolinguistics (communication) from Georgetown University, and a Certificate in Sex Therapy from the University of Michigan. She received postgraduate training in Imago Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and Gottman Couples Therapy. Previous experience includes NIH's Clinical Center, the Counseling & Career Center of the Montgomery County Commission for Women, and American University's Kogod Center for Career Development. She has taught at Georgetown University and served as a senior adviser at the US Department of Education.
