The Joan of Arc Statue, located in Meridian Hill Park, is the only equestrian statue of a woman in Washington, DC. Erected in 1922 as a gift from the Society of French Women in Exile, this bronze statue commemorates the heroic French figure who fought during the Hundred Years' War and was later recognized as a martyr by the Catholic Church.
