The Kalorama Park project, located in Ward 1 of Washington, DC, is a collaborative initiative between the Department of General Services (DGS) and the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR). The project focuses on renovating the 3-acre park grounds to address deficiencies from previous works, as well as to manage erosion and water runoff issues. Notable improvements include site-work, tree protection, storm-water management, and enhancements to landscaping and hardscaping. The project, which commenced in May 2014 and was completed in Summer 2016, had a total budget of $1.95 million allocated for anti-erosion measures, landscaping, and the construction of a new playground.
