Bring your children here for a fun filled morning! Tends to get really hot during summer afternoons and there's not much shade. There's a nice little water splash fountain for kids to play around...

Friends of Friendship Park (FOFP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the community's experience at Friendship Turtle Park in Washington, DC. As a liaison between the community and the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR), FOFP strives to maintain and improve the park's facilities, including the playground, recreation center, basketball court, tennis courts, and baseball field.

It's great. The newly renovated rec center has a co-op daycare, a game room, flat screen TV and clean bathrooms. It's by far the best rec center in all the DC parks I've been to as a mom.

The playground is great for little kids, lots to do and lots of shade....the spray area on the other hand is pretty pathetic!!
