Eastern Market Tango Club was a cornerstone of the Washington, DC tango scene from its inception in 2004 until its closure in 2020, offering a vibrant space for dancers to learn, socialize, and enjoy live performances. Under the leadership of Jake Spatz and Dasha Khripkova, the club hosted weekly milongas and workshops, featuring renowned guest teachers and a dynamic community atmosphere.

Worst milonga ever. Class ends at 9.25 rather than 9. Lights are too bright, and the women are the snooty beyond compare. Neither the organizers nor the participants make newcomers feel welcome.
