The Carter G. Woodson Memorial Park, located in Washington, DC, honors the legacy of historian Carter G. Woodson, known as the father of Black History. The park features a bronze sculpture of Dr. Woodson, seated on a circular stone memorial, surrounded by landscaped areas, paving, and restored fencing.

Initiated in April 2014 and set for completion in Summer 2015, the project aims to enhance the existing triangular park with new plantings and potentially benches. Managed by the Department of General Services, the renovation underscores Woodson's significant contributions to history and education.
