Americans United for Separation of Church and State is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the principle of church-state separation, which they believe is essential for ensuring freedom and equality for all individuals. For nearly 80 years, they have advocated for various issues, including LGBTQ rights, reproductive rights, and the protection of public schools from religious influence.

The organization actively engages in advocacy, policy work, and litigation to combat discrimination and Christian nationalism while promoting inclusivity in public education. Through community organizing and legal efforts, Americans United strives to uphold the rights of all individuals to practice their beliefs freely without imposing harm on others.

Our worship consists of a time of praise, prayer & Scripture reading, followed by a message from God's Word, the Bible, delivered by Pastor Paul G. Mathenia. You are invited to join us as we worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We believe God alone is worthy of our worship and we seek to worship Him in the power of the Holy Spirit and in the truth of His holy Word. Families are encouraged to worship together. Child care is provided for children in kindergarten and younger for those who so desire. Bible stories, activities, and play time allow the children to learn and experience the love of Christ through workers who love and care for your children. Wednesday Services: AWANA Clubs: Our AWANA Clubs are for children beginning at 2 years of age through 5th grade. Junior High and High School meet on different nights. Contact the church for more information. Youth Group meets at 6: 30 PM -- 8: 00 PM for grades 6 -- High School. The Bible is taught and applied to life situations faced by youth in a society that is often opposed to God's truth. Our goal is to encourage youth to know and abide by the truth of God's Word. Pastor's Bible Study meets in the worship center at 7: 00 PM. Families of our AWANA Clubs and Youth Group are encouraged to be a part of this dynamic Bible study. Community Groups are designed for Adult and family Bible study. They are small groups that can meet just about anywhere, anytime, and any day. Currently we have eight groups meeting throughout the communities of Laurel and more will be developed in the near future. Information concerning Community Groups is available at all services and in the church office.
