The Rehoboth Beach Police Department is a community-oriented, full-service law enforcement agency that protects residents lives and their property and suppresses criminal activities. It employs a staff of more than 30 full- and part-time sworn and nonsworn police officers, specialists, support personnel, civilians and community volunteers. The Rehoboth Beach Police Department supports Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.), which is an international education program that seeks to prevent the usage of illegal drugs, gang activities and violent behavior. The police department maintains a K-9 team that handles issues related to drug intervention, tracking, and search for persons, buildings and evidence. The Rehoboth Beach Police Department is located in Rehoboth Beach, Del.
