Delaware Dance Company

History

In 1984, Delaware Dance Company was incorporated as a non-profit performing group associated with the Ballet School of Newark. Later, the school also became part of the non-profit organization. DDC has been offering high quality dance training and performance for over 30 years including an annual, full scale Nutcracker since 1984.

Specialties

Delaware Dance Company provides high quality dance education and performance to the northern Delaware, tri-state area. In addition to classes in ballet, modern, jazz and tap for beginning through advanced students, DDC supports two performing troupes, the Youth Dance Ensemble for intermediate level dancers, and the pre-professional Performing Company. DDC presents a annual, full scale Nutcracker performance as well as a spring performance and other dance concerts. During the summer months, DDC offers popular one or two-week long dance camps for younger participants and Intensive Dance Workshops for those seriously interested in dance training.
