Story of Concord Pet Foods & Supplies Concord Pet started in 1978 out of a trailer at Larry's Mobile. Originally the Mutschler Family was looking for a way to feed the family horses. In 1981 Larry Mutschler opened his first retail location on Concord Pike in Wilmington, Delaware. There was only one employee in a 1, 000sq ft building. This building still exists today as storage for the Concord Pike location. Originally Larry had two partners his brother and a good friend. The company grew to 9 locations by 1998. Today Larry solely owns the company and has grown to 18 locations from West Chester to Rehoboth. He was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware just like Concord Pet. For over 25 years the company has been locally owned and operated and we at Concord Pet know what that means to our customers.
