Lower Township Rescue Squad is a nonprofit corporation that has been serving the emergency medical needs of Cape May County, N.J., for more than 50 years. The rescue squad provides emergency rescue and medical services to people suffering from a variety of critical conditions or accidents, such as car and airplane crashes, drowning and cardiac arrests. Lower Township Rescue Squad provides ambulance and emergency services. Its ambulances are well equipped, emergency medical technicians are certified and all vehicle operators are trained in emergency vehicle defensive driving. Additionally, it provides continuing education classes and offers registration services.

Christiana Care Health System, a nonprofit health system, is one of the largest health care providers in the United States. The hospital offers an array of services, such as joint replacement, cystic fibrosis, urogynecology, occupational therapy and sinus surgery, to name a few. Its facility comprises of two hospitals with more than 1,100 patient beds, a home health care service, preventive medicine, rehabilitation services, a network of primary care physicians and an extensive range of outpatient services. The hospital is a member of The American Hospital Association and The Delaware Healthcare Association and The Middle Atlantic Health Congress. It has received accreditation from The American Association of Blood Banks, The Joint Commission and The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, among others.
