B egun in 1983 in Binghamton, New York, Adelaide Environmental Health Associates Inc has a decades-long history of successful performance in environmental consulting. The firm moved its headquarters to the Westchester-Putnam area in 1990, maintaining its Binghamton office, and subsequently opening an additional office in Buffalo in 2006. The company continues to grow and expand, and now employs twenty professional staff across all its offices. Since its inception the company has accumulated extensive experience in hazardous materials investigations, abatement design, abatement monitoring, emergency response, and disaster recovery. We are practiced in the renovation and upgrading of a variety of venues, including: educational institutions; historically significant buildings; healthcare, hospital, and psychiatric facilities; industrial, corporate, and manufacturing facilities; and correctional institutions throughout the state. In addition, more than fifty of the state's school districts and private schools have relied on Adelaide's expertise in asbestos abatement management at some point during the last two decades. A frequent scenario in our history is to be hired as subconsultant by the architect of record to conduct hazardous materials investigations and design the abatement specifications. We are often then hired as prime consultant by the school district or other owner, to conduct project monitoring and final clearances. Using Adelaide as the abatement design firm as well as the monitoring and final inspection team provides owners with a seamless, well-coordinated operation where requirements are understood and adhered to, and goals are clearly defined and fulfilled, i.e. we will write the specifications, and then make sure they are met.
