Wilton Public Works Department

The Wilton Police Department works to safeguard the lives and property of residents, businesses and visitors, as well as maintain social law and order. It maintains patrol, administration, crime prevention, accident reconstruction and bike patrol units. The department also has a selective enforcement unit that addresses citizens complaints regarding high-traffic volume and speeding violations, as well as performs site surveys and child safety seat installations. It employs a school resource officer who acts as a liaison between the police department and the board of education, school administration, faculty and students. The Wilton Police Department also hosts a citizens' police academy that offers classes in patrol procedures, youth crime, firearms tactics, and motor vehicle and technology law enforcement.
