Visiting Nurse Services of Connecticut

Founded in 1909, Visiting Nurse Connecticut is one of the leading providers of health services and programs to serve the needs of patients at home. It is a nonprofit voluntary and state licensed health care agency providing preventive, healing and support services for mothers and infants, young children, adults and seniors. The center specializes in providing skilled nursing, physical, speech and occupational therapies, medical social work and home health aides. It also offers a wide range of other services, including high tech home therapy, wound care, psychiatric nursing, pain management, a palliative care program, mother, baby and children s services, nutritional counseling, elder care planning and coordination services, and care for the caregivers. The center additionally provides home health telemonitoring and health watch emergency response systems. Visiting Nurse Connecticut also offers its expertise in hospice care programs, including comprehensive end-of-life care, cancer support and grief counseling services.
