Andrews-Perry Construction, Inc was founded in 1988 by cousins, Joe Perry Peter Andrews. Joe and Peter grew up together, worked together as teenagers on a local farm, attended the same college and worked for other local construction companies together. It began simply as a desire to be in business for themselves rather than working for someone else. They each secured a personal loan from a local bank and used the proceeds to purchase a used dump truck and trailer, they decided on a business name choosing to use their last names and putting "Andrews" first to ensure they would be one of the first listings in the construction heading of the local yellow pages (no internet back then!), they opened a business checking account, obtained business insurance and secured financing to purchase a new 580K Case Backhoe. The office was not much more than a telephone and answering machine and a filing cabinet. Their first official job as Andrews-Perry Construction, Inc was to lay a brick patio which did not have much to do with excavation. Today the company provides employment for seven individuals and maintains an office on Route 4 in Burlington. Our fleet includes a Kenworth T800B Tractor, Peterbilt 330 Dump Truck, three pickup trucks, Ford F800 Septic Pumper Truck, Eager Beaver 20XPT Trailer for equipment hauling, John Deere 200LC Excavator, John Deere 160LC Excavator, BobCat G-Series Mini Excavator, the original Case 580K Backhoe, Caterpillar D5C Dozer, John Deere 650J Dozer and John Deere 644H Loader. Andrews-Perry Construction, Inc has well-established working relationships with locally known and respected developers in the area. We have provided site work and septic system installations for hundreds of new construction and existing homesites in the Farmington Valley and surrounding area. We are a local, owner-run company and we are grateful to our current and former customers for trusting us with their excavation or septic project. Andrews-Perry Construction is our livelihood and our reputation and we take that very seriously. The company and it's employees hold the following licenses in the State of Connecticut. Where applicable, we attend continuing education as required by the State of Connecticut to maintain said licenses.
