More than 7,000 members have come to the Valley-Shore YMCA for a wide variety of programs. The Valley-Shore YMCA offers an array of facilities and services, including a full gymnasium, fitness center with nautilus machines, free weight room, racquetball court, locker rooms, saunas, outdoor running track, pavilion, low ropes course and two 25-yard swimming pools. For more than 85 years, the Valley-Shore YMCA has responded to the needs of the shoreline communities. In the early years, YMCA programs were held at local beaches, lakes, schools and churches. The facility, which was opened in 1975, is located in Westbrook, Conn.
