Tulmeadow Farm

Located in West Simsbury, Conn., Tulmeadow Farm Inc. is a diversified farm spanning 265 acres and raising a variety of vegetables and garden plants. The farm, which is in operation since 1768, raises hay to make silage bales, both for sale and to provide feed for herd of grass-fed beef cattle. The farm makes gourmet ice cream and grows/harvests broad-leaf tobacco, capons, cider brandy, butter, eggs, apples, Christmas trees and firewood. The farm sells its products through an in-house store and sources manure from the cows to fertilize the vegetable fields.
