The Housing Authority of the Town of Manchester, Conn., offers a range of residential properties on a rental basis and administers a range of housing programs. It offers the Low Income Public Housing program, which serves senior citizens and individuals with disabilities. The authority owns and maintains various senior, independent living and affordable housing facilities and apartments. Housing Authority of the Town of Manchester also administers Section 8 Rental Assistance and Sert programs.

New Canaan High School is a public school that provides academic education to students in grades nine through 12. The school s curriculum includes English, language arts, foreign languages, mathematics, science and social studies. It also offers various courses in career and technical education, including business, technology education, television production, graphics, communications, and family and consumer science. New Canaan High School has a library and media center that provides a large collection of curriculum books, catalogues, an online database and electronic resources. It also organizes various extracurricular activities, such as art, music, dance, theater and band. Additionally, the school provides counseling services and the National Honor Society program. It provides various sports activities, including basketball, football, ice hockey and wrestling. The school is a part of New Canaan Public Schools and enrolls more than 1,000 students.
