The McAuley

McAuley, located in West Hartford, Conn., is a nonprofit retirement community that offers life care services to its residents. It is a part of Mercy Community Health, a faith-based organization that promotes wellness, embraces diversity and enhances quality of life. The community provides studios and one- and two-bedroom apartments with attached kitchen, bathroom, balcony and living and dining rooms. The services offered by the community include skilled nursing, personal care assistance, dietary counseling, health assessments and screenings. The community organizes a variety of recreational activities that include field trips, art shows, theme dinners, holiday dances and parties, and aerobic, yoga and strength training classes. McAuley is co-sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy, a nationally recognized organization dedicated to the ministries of health, education, housing and social services.
