Nice park for a brisk walk. Easy to get to and well maintained. I wish the trails were marked better as it would have been easy to walk in circles.

Suburban Park, also known as Rainbow Park, is a historic recreational area in Unionville, CT, originally operated from 1895 to 1905 by The Farmington Street Railway Company. Spanning thirty-five acres, the park featured a variety of attractions including a dance pavilion, ice cream parlor, and extensive walking trails, making it a popular destination for city dwellers seeking leisure in the suburbs.
After its closure due to declining patronage, local efforts led to the preservation of 205 acres of the park, which is now maintained as open space. The park's rich history includes serving as a venue for community events and gatherings, reflecting its significance in the social fabric of the area.
