He has a particular interest in male sexual health and prosthetic surgery for both erectile dysfunction and incontinence. He has been published in multiple peer-reviewed urology journals. Dr. Schoenfeld graduated summa cum laude from Yeshiva University before earning his medical degree at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He then completed his urology residency at Columbia University Irving Medical Center/New York-Presbyterian Hospital, one of the nation’s oldest and most distinguished urology training programs. His goal is to improve not only his patients’ health, but also their overall quality of life.
Max Shutran
Dr. Shutran is a board-certified neurosurgeon who specializes in the care of patients with vascular problems in the brain and spine using both endovascular (minimally invasive) and open surgical techniques. He also has an interest in other neurosurgical conditions including brain and spine tumors, Chiari malformations, hydrocephalus, trigeminal neuralgia, hemifacial spasm, and degenerative spine conditions. He completed his neurosurgery residency at Tufts Medical Center. He subsequently completed a fellowship in cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where he also served as an attending physician and Instructor in Neurosurgery at Harvard Medical School. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. His passion for cerebrovascular disease took root early in residency when he witnessed how excellent quality care can make a difference in the lives of patients with aneurysms, vascular malformations, and stroke. He believes that having a broad training background allows him to counsel patients on the best treatment options and alternatives. Outside of medicine, he is an avid runner and also enjoys playing jazz piano and reading.
