Established in 1991, the Hoffman Heart and Vascular Institute of Connecticut is one of the leading centers for cardiac catheterization laboratory and open heart procedures in New England. It offers nuclear and magnetic resonance imaging, coronary arteriography, intravascular ultrasound, electrophysiology studies and invasive cardiology services. The center also provides radiofrequency ablation, automatic defibrillator implantation, pacemaker implantation and therapeutic services. The Hoffman Heart and Vascular Institute of Connecticut additionally offers congestive heart failure and chest pain evaluation service. Its programs are focused in the areas of prevention, diagnosis, research, treatment and rehabilitation. The center also organises various community and corporate education services, as well as health enhancement programs.
