Read Elementary School, opened in 1968, was named after David F. Read, who was a member of the Bridgeport Board of Education. It employs a staff of more than 100 full-time, certified teachers and paraprofessionals, including mathematics and literacy coaches, physical education instructors, guidance counselors, social workers, psychologists, media specialists, program assistants, school coordinators, custodians, and art and music professionals. In addition, Read Elementary School operates a health clinic that has a team of nurse practitioners, medical assistants, outreach workers and dental hygienists. The school has an annual enrollment of over 950 students in kindergarten through grade 10. Read Elementary School is a part of Bridgeport Public Schools and is located in Bridgeport, Conn.

I love this school, my kid comes here now and she has not reported anything like bad teachers, Bullies etc. They are not like before..they have changed.

Horrible irresponsible school. Let me tell you a story...These kids wait for the school bus on the corner of Madison Ave and Wheeler Ave in Bridgeport CT. They were breaking bottle in our parking...

Academy of Mount St. Ursula, a girl s Catholic college preparatory school, was established in 1855 and is located in Bronx, N.Y.
