History

In 1972 Michael Beattie started Professional Lock & Safe Co. Inc. Beattie received security training in the U.S. Navy from 1967-1971. After Naval training he graduated from the Connecticut State Police Academy and was hired as the Town Of Mansfield's first police officer. While working nights as a police officer, Beattie started a a small locksmith business durring the day. The business soon required full time attention and Beattie decided to open his first store in 1975. Beattie soon became one of Connecticut's first locksmiths to be certified as a master locksmith by the Associated Locksmiths of America. Since 1972 Professional Lock and Safe has been one of the leading locksmith companies in Connecticut. As a family run business, Beattie was able to service both commercial and residential customers with expert installations and service work for any types of safes and vaults and all types of locking hardware, both commercial and residential.
