Planet Bark is located at 37 Darcy St, West Hartford, Connecticut. We are just off of New Park Ave and 1 mile from I-84. Our facility is directly across the street from Connecticut Veterinarian Center, in front of Home Depot. Our newly renovated K-9 getaway offers over 9, 000 square feet of indoor and outdoor play space. We are fully climate-controlled for the comfort of your dog. We also boast luxurious suites and condos for that Bed and Biscuit style boarding. Planet Bark is dedicated to providing all dogs a safe, clean and fun-loving environment. We offer all customers, both K-9 and human, the highest level of customer service expected from West Hartford's Premium K-9 Resort. Our responsibility is to allow all dogs to socialize, exercise and board in an environment which promotes a positive well-being. We strive to make you feel secure and comfortable, leaving your dog in our care, while away on business or pleasure. Planet Bark is owned and operated by Myra Wahl and her two energetic Weimaraners, Chloe and Mia. Because Weimaraners are prone to separation anxiety and require tremendous exercise, structure and socialization, Myra knows, first hand, the importance of excellent dog day care and overnight boarding. Myra is leaving Corporate America to pursue a dynamic concept she always dreamed would have been available to her as a working professional. While in Corporate America, Myra spent many working hours concerned about her dogs being crated or isolated for extended periods of time. When work required overnight travel, she struggled with the lack of professionalism, cleanliness and personal attention given in kennels, not to mention the absence of real exercise for her dogs.
