Its environmental health section inspects restaurants and food service establishments and provides beach and water quality monitoring and septic system inspection services. The department s health promotion and risk reduction section offers health promotion information, brochures and videos on public health issues, including lead poisoning, safety and injury prevention, Lyme disease and healthy heart.
