North Stonington Historical Society

The North Stonington Historical Society, founded in 1970, is dedicated to preserving and perpetuating the rich history of North Stonington, Connecticut. The First Baptist Church, one of the three Baptist churches in North Stonington, has a long and storied history dating back to its organization in 1743. The church's original meeting house, built in the 18th century, was eventually replaced with a new and spacious one to accommodate its expanding congregation.
