About CVFA This section is just a brief description of the Coventry Volunteer Fire Association and how we fit into the Town of Coventry's emergency response plan. Founded as a private corporation in 1936 we were originally the only fire department in town. The original fire station was located at 1216 Main Street just across from the Bidwell Tavern. The department remained in this station for 64 years until we out grew it. In May of 2000 our new station located across the street from the Coventry Town Hall was officially dedicated. We also expanded our coverage to Station 208 a substation located on the corner of South and Judd road.

K-B Ambulance Corps, Inc. is a non-profit organization that has been providing emergency medical transport services to the towns of Killingly and Brooklyn, Connecticut since 1939. With a fleet of 5 ambulances, 4 interceptor vehicles, and 1 service truck, they respond to an average of 7000 EMS calls per year, serving as the primary emergency medical transport provider for the Town of Killingly. Originally an all-volunteer corps, K-B Ambulance Corps now has a full-time paid staff consisting of an Administrator, Operations Manager, Supervisors, Paramedics, EMTs, and EMRs. Committed to serving the community, they are always looking for individuals who want to join their team and make a difference.
