Founded in 1918, the New Milford Visiting Nurse Association is a nonprofit health care agency that provides home care, hospice and public health services. It also provides respite care, volunteer assistance, family counseling, and pain and symptom management services. The association offers immunization and bereavement programs. In addition, the New Milford Visiting Nurse Association provides speech, physical and occupational therapies. It also provides cardiac rehabilitative, medication monitoring and mental health services. The association organizes various social works, as well as nutritional counseling. It is a member of the Connecticut Association of Home Care, National Association of Home Care and National Hospice Association. The New Milford Visiting Nurse Association is located in New Milford, Conn.
