Newington Public Schools is a group of educational institutes that serve the communities of Newington, Conn. The educational institute operates through its seven schools, which includes three of its elementary schools support grades Pre-K through 4. Simpson-Waverly Classical Magnet School is recognized by the Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon School.

Central Park East High School provides academic instruction to students in grades 9 through 12. It conducts classes in English, math, history, social science, science and environmental studies. The school supports choir activities, as well as conducts Spanish classes. It organizes basketball, volleyball, tennis, golf, cross-country, football, wrestling, swimming and soccer activities.
