The Middlefield Dog Park in Middlefield, CT, is a community-driven initiative inspired by local Boy Scout Tyler Sibley, providing dogs a safe, leash-free environment to play and socialize amidst beautiful woodland surroundings. The park features separate fenced areas for large and small or timid dogs, all enclosed within a continuous 5-foot chain link fence on the picturesque King Property at Beseck Mountain.
Funded through generous donations and volunteer efforts, the park is continuously maintained by the community, fostering a space where dog owners can connect and enjoy the outdoors. Upcoming projects include the installation of a shallow well hand pump for drinking water and enhancements to the park's facilities, ensuring that it remains a welcoming haven for dogs and their owners.
