Michael Parry

Dr. Weiss graduated from medical school at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He then completed his surgical residency at the prestigious Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. While at Beth Israel, Dr. Weiss was trained in all aspects of forefoot/hindfoot reconstructive surgery as well as lower extremity limb deformity correction. Dr. Weiss is double board certified via the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery). Dr. Weiss has been on staff at Stamford Health since 2008. Hes also on staff at the Stamford Hospital Wound Care Center and is certified in performing hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) treatments for complex wound-healing cases. He takes pride in helping diabetes patients with all lower-extremity ailments that involve wound care, neuropathy, and Charcot disorders.

Dr. Derek Cheng is a board-certified and fellowship-trained neurologist specializing in the accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients with complex epilepsy or new-onset seizure disorders. Dr. Cheng completed a B.A. in English and pre-medical studies at the University of Michigan, followed by a Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology at Columbia University. He obtained a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from The New York College of Osteopathic Medicine-NYIT and subsequently completed neurology residency training at North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center (Northwell Health) where he served as Chief Resident his final year. Dr. Cheng then completed advanced fellowship training in neurophysiology with a focus on electroencephalogram (EEG) and epilepsy at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center/Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. His advanced training offers hope to patients with new-onset seizures, or patients unable to manage their epilepsy. Treatment begins with a comprehensive and personalized evaluation. Dr. Cheng treats patients using the latest medical therapies including medication and anti-seizure devices such as vagus nerve stimulator or the responsive neurostimulator. He also works as a member of a coordinated team when a patient is a candidate for epilepsy surgery. Dr. Cheng understands the emotional aspect an epilepsy diagnosis can place on a patient and family. He is passionate about patient-centered care and provides compassionate, individualized care focusing on the quality of life for each patient. Dr. Cheng has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented posters at the American Academy of Neurology's annual meeting, and is the recipient of many honors and awards including the Resident Teacher Award in Neurology and Essay Winner in the American Osteopathic Association Bureau of History and Identity.
