The year is 1783. Colonial men, exhausted and elated with victory at the end of the Revolutionary War, set down their muskets and head to the local tavern in the heart of Marlborough, CT, to celebrate over a tankard of ale. Independence, freedom, and democracy are the words of the day.
Today, The Marlborough Tavern continues to offer that "early American tavern" feel to modern-day diners and drinkers. We offer genial, old-fashioned service, an atmosphere of informality and friendliness where friends gather as in days of old.
