Margot Laedlein, MSN, APRN, is a pediatric nurse practitioner specializing in pediatric neurology who is passionate about caring for infants, children, and adolescents. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and the University of California San Francisco with her Master of Science in Nursing. She is board-certified with the American Nursing Credentialing Council as a pediatric nurse practitioner. Margot has been practicing as an advanced practice registered nurse in pediatric neurology in Stamford since 2001 and joined Stamford Health in 2006. As a nurse practitioner, Margot's philosophy is to provide individualized care to her patients by acknowledging their unique situations, educating them and their families, and providing unconditionally compassionate care. Margot believes in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological problems using a multidisciplinary, collaborative approach. She believes that holistic, compassionate, and comprehensive neurologic care is the basis for helping a child and family cope with neurological conditions or illness and achieve the best quality of life. Margot feels that while upfront this process may take more time, it is invaluable in caring for children with complex neurologic or multisystem disorders. Developing effective treatment plans means working collaboratively with the entire treatment team. The child's parents and primary care provider are the center of that team. Margot is also a nurse care coordinator for the Medical Home Initiative working with children and adolescents with special health care needs. She enjoys collaborating with colleagues in the community who offer a variety of perspectives and share the mission of providing care coordination and resources to children and families.
