Lewis School of Driving, Inc was established in 1970 by Chester R. Lewis, Jr., a retired New Canaan police officer. He taught driver's education for many years prior to that at the High School in New Canaan. In 1990 Marie Winters Trant, his stepdaughter, bought the business. Mr. Lewis was very active in the business until his death on February 16, 2006. He has left an indelible mark in the area and will be forever loved and remembered. We are licensed by the State of Connecticut and have an annual inspection of all our cars and instructors given by the Department of Motor Vehicles. All of our instructors are trained personally by us and have to be tested by the State. They are all screened for driving, police and health records.

Knowledgeable instructors, organized online calendar for online classes, and easy to reach a live person, quick responsiveness. Hard to get driving instruction slots as they book up very quickly...
