King Philip Middle School

Weaver High School offers career based programs, which include projects, career themes, and work site and personalized learning experiences. It also offers various choices of academies that include health careers academy; police, fire and law academy; and arts and technology academy. Located in Hartford, Conn., the school has various extracurricular activities and programs that include science club, culinary arts, cultural diversity group, WQTQ-FM radio station and young educator s society. It has an enrollment of more than 1,300 students in grades nine through 12, and provides special education classes that include compensatory education, bilingual and English as a secondary language programs. Weaver High School also offers nurse aide certification programs and is a part of the Hartford School District.

Bloomfield High School is a multicultural suburban public school serving more than 700 students in grades nine through 12. The school offers programs in academics, the arts and athletics. It has academic departments for various subjects, such as English, science, math, social studies and world languages. Additionally, it offers a junior reserve officer training corps program. The school has a special education team that comprises certified personnel who case manage, teach resource classes and co-teach with regular education teachers. The institution also offers various sports activities, including soccer, cheerleading, basketball and football. Its visual arts department offers a discipline-based art education with a focus on modern art and contemporary themes as a basis for its curriculum. The school is affiliated with the Bloomfield Public Schools.
