Jonesly Mixed Martial Arts Academy is Norwalks's Premier source of Mauy Thai, Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts training in Fairfield County. The School is located on the 2nd floor of 61 Main Street between Hoyt Street and Cross Street. The school's core focus of martial arts are Muay Thai and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Muay Thai is an ancient combat sport of Thailand that teaches skillful striking, movement, evasion and counter fighting techniques that have been proven to be effective for self defense. Brazilian jiu-jitsu is a grappling martial art created for self-defense through the intelligent and skillful employment of positional control, joint manipulation and chokes to overcome brute strength and aggression. Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a combat sport created to allow the use of a wide variety of techniques from Wrestling, Boxing, Muay Thai and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Using these martial arts in combination with one another, will prepare students to defend themselves in the three ranges of hand to hand combat - striking, clinching and ground. Our facility services and trains individuals who are novice to the arts, intermediates or even professionals in the disciplines.
