Community Health Resources is a nonprofit, community-based, behavioral health care organization that assists patients suffering from mental disorders, emotional stress and substance abuse. It provides treatment, support services, rehabilitation, prevention and various educational programs. The organization focuses on a variety of social issues, including strengthening families, prevention of adult suicides, assertive community treatment, case management, housing assistance, psychosocial rehabilitation, family violence education and transitional support. It also provides child and adolescent outpatient services that include assessment, consultation, psycho-education, medication monitoring, and individual, group and family therapies. Located in Windsor, Conn., Community Health Resources organizes various fundraising events throughout the year.
