Newtown, CT 06470

The Newtown Forest Association (NFA) has been dedicated to preserving the open spaces and natural beauty of Newtown, Connecticut, since 1924, encompassing over 1,400 acres of protected land. As Connecticut's first land trust, the NFA recently celebrated its centennial by acquiring Deep Brook Farm, a 60-acre preserve that includes farmland, upland forests, meadows, and wetlands.

This newly acquired property will offer public access to hiking trails and other passive recreational activities, reinforcing the NFA's mission to protect and enhance the accessible natural landscapes of the community. The NFA relies on the generous support of its members and donors to sustain its conservation efforts and to continue providing unique events and programs throughout the year.
