The Gales Ferry Library, a part of the Ledyard Public Library system in Gales Ferry, CT, has been serving the community since its establishment in 1917. Originally opened on Hurlbutt Road in 1921, it later merged with the Bill Library in Ledyard Center in 1970 to form a single municipal department with a combined collection exceeding 83,000 items.
