Ebner Glooskin and Leonard Seaman opened the first Eblens store in 1949. Eblens is a family of casual clothing stores in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The typical store is approximately 6,500 square feet. The largest store is a 15,000-square-foot superstore in Torrington, Conn. Each Eblens store carries name brand clothing, active wear and footwear for each member of the family. One of New England s largest independently owned apparel retailers, Eblens operates storefront locations, as well as outlet plazas and shopping centers.
