Derby Senior Center

Established in 1965, TEAM is a nonprofit organization located in Derby, Conn. The organization specializes in providing financial assistance and supportive services to low-income families. It provides a variety of services, such as advocacy, education, resource mobilization and service delivery. It offers housing, asset building, shelter transition, and landlord, eviction and foreclosure mediation programs. TEAM also provides preschool child care programs to students from 3 to 5 years. The organization s general academic curriculum includes reading, writing and math. It offers a variety of extracurricular activities, such as art, music and drama. In addition, it provides fuel, weatherization and home heating assistance. The organization offers services to more than 4,000 families through Connecticut. TEAM also organizes field trips to various educational and cultural destinations.
