History
As a leading expert in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) for anxiety, mood, and obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, I use evidence-based practice for conditions such as obsessive-compulsive disorder, hoarding, trichotillomania, panic disorder, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, depression, and posttraumatic stress disorder. I am board certified in clinical psychology, and have two decades of experience treating clients. I am the recipient of the Awards for Distinguished Contribution to the Practice of Psychology, Distinguished Contribution to the Science of Psychology, and Distinguished Lifetime Contribution to Psychology from the Connecticut Psychological Association. I am an active clinician/researcher, working with the National Institute of Mental Health. I am Past-President of the Clinical Psychology Division of the American Psychological Association, and an Adjunct Professor at Yale School of Medicine.
