The "Board" operates under the guidance of a "Code of Ethics" established by the National Association of REALTORS ( NAR ), the Connecticut Association of REALTORS ( CAR ), and the Stamford Board of REALTORS ( SBOR ). It is our "professional standards" that separates the REALTORS from the real estate "vendor" who is not bound by the REALTORS ' standards of conduct.

In partnership with the Connecticut Association of REALTORS and the National Association of REALTORS , the New Canaan Board of REALTORS provides industry information, political advocacy, education and benefits for its members. It is the leading advocate of the right to own, use, and transfer real property, and is the acknowledge leader in developing standards for efficient, effective, and ethical real estate business practices. The New Canaan Board of REALTORS owns and operates the New Canaan Multiple Listing Service, Inc which offers brokers and sales agents an orderly mechanism to categorize and share listing information and facilitate the transfer of real property.
