Cristina R. Ionescu, MD

Dr. Eva Zimmerman is a passionate and outgoing internist. She graduated from Union College as a Biology/Sociology double major. She completed medical school at the Jacobs School of Medicine in her hometown of Buffalo, NY. She graduated at the top of her medical school class and always knew she wanted to pursue a career in primary care. She completed her residency at the Yale Primary Care Internal Medicine program, where she was chosen as the recipient of the Rosenbaum Primary Care Recognition Award. Dr. Zimmerman is particularly interested in preventative medicine, and comprehensive chronic disease management. She is looking forward to forming longstanding relationships with her patients and helping her patients work towards their health goals. She is tremendously excited to join the Internal Medicine Associates of Westport.

Dr. Mario A. Pinto, DO is an internist and is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He grew up in New York City, where he attended The City College of New York (CCNY). Through his work experience, interest in biology, scientific research and interest in building personal relationships, he decided to pursue medicine as a career. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in biology and received the Jonas E. Salk Award scholarship for medical school. He attended the A. T. Still School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona, where he discovered the importance and developed a passion for primary care, followed by a three-year residency in internal medicine with a focus on primary care at NYU Langone Brooklyn Campus. Upon graduation as a co-chief resident of the internal medicine primary care track, he was elated to join the Internal Medicine Associates of Westport.
