The Country Club of Fairfield, established in 1914 by Oliver Gould Jennings, is situated on a unique landscape known as Mosquito Hill, originally comprising onion fields that sloped down to a tidal marsh. Designed by renowned golf course architect Seth Raynor, a protégé of Charles Blair Macdonald, the club features a links-style golf course inspired by some of the finest holes in the British Isles.
After several years of extensive land development, the course officially opened in 1921, with Hall of Fame golfer Walter Hagen among the attendees on its inaugural day. The Country Club of Fairfield continues to uphold its rich heritage while providing a premier golfing experience for its members.
